GT5: Prologue Races Its Way to a Sweet Sales Record

05/14/2009 Written by Kyle P.

Polyphony Digital has just released the worldwide retail numbers for their phenomenal racer, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue.

The worldwide retail sales figures stand at 3.3 million units. This is incredible considering that GT5: Prologue is a standalone demo for the upcoming Gran Turismo 5. However, that tally does not include digital copies sold through the Playstation Store, which should account for a good chunk of the overall sales.

never liked this game at all, infact i hate racing games. Either way its good to see the large sales…but Im honestly not surprised. Wait till the full version comes out, then you’ll see some major sales.
