Kojima E3 Announcements Could be Good News Bad News [Update]
Metal Gear Solid 4 may go down in the pantheon of video games as being the game with the most [shal]rumor[/shal] and [shal]speculation[/shal] surrounding it. We are on the precipice of [shal]E3[/shal] and it wouldn’t be an E3 without some [shal]MGS[/shal] shenanigans now would it? Matt Furtado over at Kombo seems to think Kojima’s E3 announcements could present [shal]PS3[/shal] enthusiasts with a case of good news, bad news.
This doesn’t appear to be too much more then speculation at this point, but the author states his case that Metal Gear Solid 4 will receive DLC and the coveted trophy patch. That’s the good news. The bad news is that MGS4 will be released for the Xbox 360 in 2010 with the DLC included.
The most recent rumors surrounding the upcoming Kojima announcement are quite minor when compared to a new game announcement. As of now, the latest speculation is that Konami will announce Raiden based DLC for the PS3. Coinciding with the DLC will also be the long awaited Trophy patch for MGS4. Players will take control of Raiden through a total of 2 new chapters. Whether or not this will take place during the events of MGS4 or will be something completely new isn’t known.
It’s also being rumored that MGS4 will officially be announced for the 360. To keep Sony and PS3 owners happy, the 360 won’t see the game until Spring 2010. The 360 version will come packed with the DLC, but PS3 owners will have it exclusive for several months before the 360 title is released.

None, because HD-DVDs are not in production.
I don’t want Metal Gear Solid 4 to be available on anything other than PS3, and I own an Xbox. But honestly, Spring 2010? Would it really even matter anymore at that point? Would it really even be relevant, especially is a MGS5 is announced, and PS3 exclusive?

We don’t knowvif they are, and even If they are making one for the 360 then that is fine. The game has been out for a long time and it is not that big of a deal, plus they are not betraying us becaus they are not going MS only. But doc and trophies would be tight

I’ve been telling people it would get it for a while now.
Based on a few things. I honestly thought it would have hit by now.
Anyway trophy patch is the 1 biggest reason I haven’t played the game.

MS been taking exclusives away by bribing companies and id hate for them to get this game since it was a PS trademark and sold with the system.

this is bullshit. how would that even work on xbox? if it does than ps3 owners have been getting lied to. i highly doubt this is true. and its speculation of some writer? ive never even heard of this guy. i call bullshit. and I DO NOT WANT A DLC, I WANT A NEW GAME. F A DLC. Bring me mgs5, make it raidens story and make it take place between mgs2 and mgs4. is it really that hard to give people what they want? and i swear to you SONY, i will buy an xbox and buy every multiplatform game for it if mgs4 goes to microsoft. period.

Ok guys got to say love the website/// ove the work you put into the stuff you submit… but this….. is just not going to happen…. when will Xbox fanboys realise that metal gear on the Xbox will NEVER happen… I mean fine, when the game was coming out there were a few rumors floating about an Xbox 360 version…. which I thouhjt was acceptible… but REALLY…. Even if they did bring out MGS on Xbox 360 it will just FAIL!!!!! my reasons why
1. It actually says when the game is loading for the first time that the game is a PS3 EXCLUSIVE!!!
2. Metal Gear and Kojima have all ready brought out (what i think to be) Metal gear solid 2 on original Xbox… ever bought it?? i didn’t think so beacause basically only a VERY limited amount of people actually bought this game….. wanna know WHY??? because everyone who wanted the game all ready had it on PS2!!! oh and look everyone that I know who wanted MGS4 has got a PS3 and have MGS4!! so in other words… they would just be repeating they’re failure… have you ever heared of a game company to repeat its OWN failures??? …. the answer your looking for is NOO!!!
And no I don’t hate Xbox/ Microsoft pere say.. even though they are basically the newbies in the home console world and have come into the market at a very competative time… and MOST of they’re ideas COPY other console gaming companies ideas.. things like.. playstation I mean you just have to look at the layout of the buttons of the Xbox and you find well there the same.
But yeah… MGS 4 if it came out on Xbox 360 at launch FINE i would accept this… but what is it a year and a half (maybe even two years) AFTER the original launch… come on guys even I can say that this is just another Rumor thats gone WAY TO FAR…. AND yes I will accept that if they do announce it for Xbox I will accept that I was completly wrong and aplologise… and then go to blow up the company for a STUPID horrific mistake………………………. 4 – 5 discs..who cares. make sure you just have the 120GB 360.
and install the 30 – 40GB game to your harddrive….

now I find more sites sayin that they still aint working on a 360 version yet…
well its very brave of Kojima will give him that…cos PS3 is dead last in the sales
market,and unless PS3 steps it up big time, they will go bankrupt… and if that happens
and the port still hasnt happened,I hope 360 tells him to shove it,an let him go broke to.
after all he has had many chances to share this game

I LOVE the MGS games…. always had a PS2
please someone tell me why Kojima is being
so greedy,and not want people who have followed
MGS since the very beggining to have it for 360…
I dont think its fair… PS3 can have some exclusives.
sure…but not a game like this..one that we have all
