Criterion Games has updated their site with some more information regarding the huge Burnout Paradise Big Surf Island download pack.  Within the latest trailer features the release date for the hotly anticipated DLC!

The island is roughly the size of Downtown Paradise, but features gameplay unlike any other area in the game. We’re running with the mantra “if you can see it, you can drive it” to introduce a new level of freedom to Burnout Paradise, and the island also features some big air jumps – the largest on the game.

  2. StalkingSilence Says:

    Wow i can’t believe it’s about the same size as Burnout: Paradise. Seems like an entirely new game (and I’m sure it has new trophies)!

  3. Richard Allen Says:

    I might have to get this too!

  4. shadowjin Says:

    yeah 10 new burnouts races and i think a few trophies.. im still getting it.

  5. jockhotty Says:

    I think this should have been their highest priority, if people are going to spend money to have extra cars to drive around, I think they would pretty much rather have somewhere new to go or explore. Perhaps I am biased cuz i tackled this game light years ago, but usually by the time you get your elite license its like driving up and down the block around your house.. Regardless, long overdue, and good news to hear!

  6. KwietStorm Says:

    Damn that’s soon. I just wish it had more freeburn challenges, and I thought it would be bigger than just one area of the current map.

  7. TheMadGreek Says:

    No negatives for me. I’m buying it, and putting more money in Criterions’ deserving pockets.

    @jockhotty
    im not disagreeing with you as a consumer because you are right… that is what i would want. but as a developer i would definitely rather sell cars for a few bucks than a whole map. im sure they make more money for less time off of cars.

    otherwise i do like burnout paradise. burnout paradise has some of best support of any game out. it constantly has updates and dlc. im pretty happy with burnout. cant wait for this new map.

    Now we have a date. How about a price? I’m thinking this is going to sell for $14.99 which is way too high. Keep it under $10!

    Depending on the content I may – MAY, purchase this add-on for $15. I’ve already bought Burnout Paradise at least 3 times over with all the DLC $$$ I’ve thrown at Criterion.

  10. The Queef Sisters Says:
