Christian Bale, who currently stars in the new movie Terminator: Salvation, sat down with Conversations and talked about, you guessed it, video games. After bringing up a Rogert Ebert’s review of Terminator, Conversation moves onto something just as good.
When Conversation asked if Christian Bale had played video games when he was younger, the 35 year old actor responded with:
“I played video games in my entire growing-up years. One of my favorites is Super Mario. I wouldn’t sleep until I finished the game, you know.”
Mario, eh? Maybe Christian should try out some other notable franchises, such as Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, or Metal Gear Solid. We think he’d might like them.

He better
Haha. He’s just saying that. I’m sure he’s an addict. =P
he’s a good actor, cool he likes to game.
wtf? Mario……. dude your 35 not 60.
–had played video games when he was younger.
(lol) im 24 and 35 to me isnt old.
Articles like this are funny because people act like rich and famous people don’t play video games. And when they say they do its cool…like it wasn’t before.
I could easily see him getting frustrated with a 360 and talking down to it. “YOU PIECE OF SH*T…RROD WTF!!”
By all accounts, this guy is a dickhead.
hilarious.
dude he would Patrick Bateman that 360!!!
Mila Kunis plays video games too…

“Do you like Phil Collins? I’ve been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn’t understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins’ presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group’s undisputed masterpiece. It’s an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums.
360, take off your robe.
Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument.
360, remove your dress.
In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism.
360, why don’t you, uh, dance a little.
Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I’ve heard in rock.
(edited for the little kids)
Phil Collins’ solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds.
360, don’t just stare at it, eat it.
But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.”
I think he’s full of shit, honestly. “Super Mario”? Could he have possibly given a more generic, better well known example of his choice game from his “growing-up years”… seriously. EVERYONE has played Super Mario Brothers but how many peoples’ favorite game could that actually be? Yes they were great and all (I still have 1-3 for NES sitting on my shelf) but, I mean, the guy didn’t even specify which Super Mario Brothers game. Yeah “one of my favorites”, but still- c’mon. Even if he never flipped out on set that time, I’ve always figured him for a D-bag. He was great in American Psyhco but… … … meh
@ OldBloodAnd Guts
agreed!
thank god he didn’t say PacMan. lol
i care about christian bale like i care about my neighbor 10 doors down…. i dont. probably just a ploy to get people on the terminate salvation video game band wagon. not buying it or the game lol.

That’s awesome, there is a person on PSN who’s name is Christian Bale, funny thing is, is he sounds just like CB seriously it’s funny, maybe it is him.
@DGR8M:
.
If it’s him, then I’d retract my statement about him being full of s#%t as far as gaming… the rest of it still stands, though
@Jeneric:
You know… that’s probably true but only if he makes some cheddar with the game sales. +1
