Partial Screenplay for Driver Film Leaked

“DRIVER, 25, a test driver for Audi Germany in his mid-twenties — a little Beckham, a little McQueen — with munchy hair and intense blue eyes that show a focus that’s laser-like.”
Those words begin the screenplay for the currently on-hold Driver movie. How do we know this? Well, because a partial amount of the script was leaked.
The leak was founded by superannuation, who is known for finding information in the game industry before anyone else. The script, which was written in the Fall of 2006, is said to be “HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL”, as seen on the front page. There are five pages for you to read, and you might as well read it, especially since the movie may never see the light of day.

Screenplay? Script? This is going to be a CG movie? I bet their Driver comeback story was so bad they scrapped it as a video game and made it into a movie. The first game was pretty good and the first sequel was half-way alright at best… I’m not even so sure I’d be interested in playing another Driver game, let alone watching the movie. I think the concept of the game was really good for it’s time but let it die and make an entirely new game with a similar style of game play.
