In an interview with the Belgian website 9lives, Sony Belgium revealed they are not planning to bring PSN cards to Europe. The reason?
“We know that the demand is huge, but it’s a difficult task to release them. Europe has many countries, and each of them has their own VAT [Value Added Tax], you know. We won’t say it will never come, but you can’t expect it in the near future.”
So, Europeans may see PSN cards in the future, just not in the near future. Stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle for more information on this as it arrives.

What does that mean ??What cards ?
wow that sux for the europeans. CANADA (me) were just getting ours here in JUNE. So it took over a year for us to get ours.
Why don’t they just unite the store and rest . . .
that has to be frustrating for Sony, they know they would make money, but they can’t because there are too many different countries with different tax systems. And if you don’t get those taxes accurately accounted for, someone is going to challenge you and take you to court. Complicated issue.
Thank God we don’t have taxes .
For a second there I thought we were talking about the forum signature cards.
Then I came back to my senses.
Jeeze. That really sucks for the Euro-gamers.
@nimnom:
Ahahahahaaa!
@HaMmOdY
they should unite the online stores into 1. its odd how some places online dont have taxes and others do.
I agree no taxes for everyone!!!
Are XBOX360 cards in Europe? If so, how does MS do it?
