Teaming up with Capcom Sumthing Else Music Works has announced the release of Resident Evil 5’s soundtrack.
Resident Evil 5’s soundtrack was praised by fans and critics alike for truly immersing the player into the game; it was both majestic and atmospheric. Kota Suzuki, the lead composer for RE5, commented on the development of the original score, going so far as to say that even he would “often get panicky.”
“As the look of the game has changed from the previous series, I spent many hours trying to figure out how to approach it with music,” Suzuki says. “We tend to relate horror with darkness, but this time the game takes place in Africa with a blazing hot sun.
“I contemplated on how I could stir the player’s emotion, by music embodying two opposite elements. After much trial and error, the director came up with a key phrase ‘panic horror.’ And from there, I put my focus on panic-stricken music for the players. In fact, I did often get panicky while playing this game myself.”
You can find the soundtrack at your local retailer, Amazon, or Sumthing Digital’s online website.

Good soundtracks can be pretty cool, not sure if this compares to Danny Elfmans Batman soundtrack, or Poltergeist, etc. They come in real handy when a game lets you switch out the soundtrack.
