PS Store Getting Daily Updates During E3

We just got an email from Sony letting us know that the PlayStation Store will be updating daily to accommodate the massive influx of game trailers from E3.  We also expect to see the E3 Sony Press Conference in downloadable form.

If we’re lucky, we will get a couple demos from E3; however that is highly unlikely, so don’t get your hopes up.  Although they do mention updates include game content so there is always a chance.

The PlayStation Store will be the perfect compliment to our E3 coverage.  We will bring you all the news, hands on impressions, and more, straight from the E3 show floor.

  4. Too bad my PS3 just got the Yellow light of death. 2 years and 600 dollars later. and Sony said it was my fault. Nice customer service. Sorry for the rant. I’ll have to watch E3 on G4 now.

That really sucks. May I ask what they are blaming on you?

Sony said I didn’t follow the guidelines of proper maintenance. Apparently my PS3 overheated. I only was playing on it for about 20-30 minutes the day when it went down. Honestly I take good care of my electronics. That’s my job, an engineer.

That sucks man. Hopefully you can get your PS3 back soon.

    that sucks..

its odd how they would blame you when technically your out of the 1 year warranty.

They couldn’t have helped….unless you were in the manufactures time frame.

Yeah my Sony warranty is over and my 2 yr extended warranty from Best Buy just expired. You can still have your PS3 serviced by Sony after warranty, just cost money. Right now I’m up to $162 with no guarantee. Not sure what will happen if they can’t fix it.

If you go to the presentation space and watch the press conference, Sony should give you a E3 t-shirt, just like in real life.
I think that would be a good thing.

  12. SolidCake_ says:

@wicked, after they fix your unit, you then have 90 day warranty from that new date.
keep that receipt so you can verify if need be.

As an engineer, I’m sure you have the ability to hop on YouTube, find a tut, and fix the darn thing yourself since you are out of warranty anyway. Why not save the money? I love Sony products, but their customer service has always seemed below par to me.

  15. Hell yeah… I love it when E3′s in town!

  16. @TheMadGreek

I did think about, even thought about taking it to work and having the chief engineer take a look at it. Just seemed like a better solution to ship it to Sony since they have the proper parts and tools. Unless they can’t fix it then I made the wrong decision.

it would be better if they streamed the conference in Home, but anyway hype +100

  18. Dan Massi says:

They are streaming the conference in Home, are they not?

This is good news. Hopefully, they have playable demos, that’d be sweet.

  19. the Sony E3 conference will be streamed through HOME in the presentation podium space.
There will be a one hour delay.
