Batman: Arkham Asylum Spotted in the Wild

We have just received word that PlayStation 3 demo kiosks are starting to receive Batman: Arkham Asylum demos.  The game will be releasing on August 25th, so if you would like to take an early peek at the game head down to your nearest PS3 demo kiosk.

This Batman game is looking like one of the best games that the Dark Knight has starred in. The stealth, grapple gameplay seem like a perfect match for Batman. As always stay tuned here on PlayStation LifeStyle for our live-blogging of E3 and the latest news on your favorite console.

    I saw this about two weeks ago at Montclair, CA Best Buy. (It might have been Rancho Cucamonga. I’m not certain.) It’s definitely out there.

    That’s cool. Is it an exclusive kiosk demo or is it also on the 360 kiosks?

    Played the demo at a gamestop about 3 weeks ago. Not too bad. Seems alot like the watchmen game just better graphics, same style of game though.

    I played the demo, on the demo PS3, back in late-March.

    The Target i work for has had a Batman Arkham demo since last month(April), i played it a few times on my breaks/lunches. The demo i played was one of the challenge rooms where multiple enemies continue to spawn and attack. I was frankly very disappointed in in the combat aspect, all i did the entire time was push the Triangle button to counter enemy attacks it was lackluster and horrible.
    push triangle batman goes through a counter animation and then push square again to counter the next goon attacking and so on. Most annoying was that combat seemed to be a quick time event, because the button icon for triangle kept jumping on the screen when you could counter attack.

    Anyways check it out for yourselves, i was expecting great things, but from the combat in the demo i would pass as is. We’ll see when some solid review scores come out, but i think its gonna end up in the mediocre bin.

    I work at what some would call a small retailer, but it’s the largest electronics store in the midwest, Nebraska Furniture Mart, and agree, this has been up for a while alongside demos of MLB 09 The Show, LittleBigPlanet, Skate 2 & Lord of the Rings Conquest. The demo for inFAMOUS was also just added.
