PSP GO! Officially Announced

The long rumored PSP GO! has officially been announced by Sony, at their E3 press conference. It has 16 GB internal flash memory, and is 50% smaller and 40% lighter than the original PSP-1000. The PSP GO! will launch in November for an initial price point of $250.

    Ya the price tag probably is a little high, but at least the 300 is $169.

    Whoa, that’s expensive for the bare unit. I hope they mean that it is part of a package/bundle for $250. It just doesn’t seem like there is much there for the extra money; have they announced the internal specs yet (other than 16GB flash)? Is there more cache or a faster processor in this thing? Anything on UMD replacement/conversion? I’ve also seen nothing about a multi-touch screen either – I assume this isn’t in there.

    I’m pretty underwhelmed by this, as I was hoping to find something to make me upgrade from my PSP-1000. Bluetooth and flash memory in exchange for a smaller screen just isn’t enough at this point. Oh well, I’ll keep waiting for the PSP2 I suppose.

    Just when it was time to unveil the PSP GO, I like how the presenter said “And now, the worst-kept secret of E3…” HAHahahahhahaaahaaa! Priceless.
