Square Enix Unveils Final Fantasy XIV
MMORPG Scheduled for Simultaneous Global Release on the PLAYSTATION 3 and Windows
Square Enix Co., Ltd. (Square Enix), announced that FINAL FANTASY XIV, an all new massively-multiplayer role-playing game (MMORPG), is planned for simultaneous global release with language support in Japanese, English, French and German. I will admit that when he said 14 i freaked out…. that is up until the logo screen at the end that just flashed the word “online” under it.
I know we’ve come a long way since 11, but it still left a terrible TERRIBLE taste in my mouth for online FF games. The tech’s there though… so maybe i’ll be more inviting this time.
Think there will be a monthly fee?

So 13 is 2009 (as of yet, still unreleased), plus an announcement for 14 next year? Did anyone else hear the “Pfffffsss” and the sparse laughs in the crowd when they announced it? I was dumbfounded when I first heard them say it but it’s very good since 14’s NOT inhibited by the x360’s inferior… well the point is, is that the graphics can be pushed to the max and, even though it’s still an M$oft product (Windows) you’ll need to have a good enough graphics chip play it (a better one than the x360’s I’m betting).
