During an interview with the LA Times, EA Games label president Frank Gibeau revealed that there will be no more Godfather games in the works. He told the paper that, “We’re not going to do another one.”, and that there isn’t one scheduled in the next three years.

EA’s PR then cleared up some of the air, reporting that no decision has been made regarding the Godfather franchise, and that “Paramount is a great partner.”

Would you like to see another game in the Godfather series, or should this series sleep with the fishes? Post your comments below!

    @Haskell420:
    Good quote, but that would imply that EA is just ‘laying low’ and will be back ‘aftatings die down’. There is no game quality storyline in the GadFather part III. And “Luka (Brazi) sleeps with the fishes”… he never made it to the mattresses.

    I’m actually kind of surprised on one hand… I’m sure EA wanted to make another sequel to milk the title for a trilogy. But on the other hand, they were probably denied permission to use the
    ‘GodFather Part III’ as the next game’s title. There’s just no gaming story present in the third movie significant enough to warrant a third game.

    5/5
