The newest Burnout Paradise add-on content, Big Surf Island, has been priced. Official pages of the new add-on went live today, and were quickly pulled down. Luckily, the price was caught, and has been officially revealed.
Big Surf Island will cost you $12.99 (€12.99 in Europe, £9.99 in UK), and if you consider that Big Surf Island is roughly the size of downtown Paradise City, the price is more than reasonable.
Remember, you can check out the trophies for Big Surf Island right here on PlayStation LifeStyle. Also, stay tuned on the site for even more details on Big Surf Island, and the inevitable trophy guide.

Just played Burnout last night with an old friend. From 9:00pm to 4:00am. LOL We both said we will get Big Surf. This pricing makes it even more desirable. I will continue to support Criterion as long as they make quality add ons for this product.

Seriously? You guys are okay with $12.99? The entire BP game can be picked up for $29.99 brand new and that’s for the Ultimate edition. I would have thought this add-on would be under a tenner.

uk gets ripped off like usual, $13 is about £8

been looking forward to this, thanks for the info

$12.99 isn’t exactly ideal, considering what is in the retail package. The only reason you guys think this is a small price tag is because they already overpriced the previous content.

Kwietstorm, have you seen all the free updates Burnout has gotten since it was released? They were extremely generous in not only their free dlc and updates, but they also dropped the price of Burnout at retail.

@shadojin
Look for the add request.

ya they were very good at updating the game i think they deserve a little money off us for their work
June 8th, 2009 at 11:31 AM
isn’t this suppose to be out this week? I remember seeing a june release date for it.

I guess $13 isn’t so bad, considering… I’ll need to see some more game footage/pics to decide if it’s a day1 buy or not.

£10? 6 months ago I would have paid that, despite having months of playtime under my belt at that time I was still loving the game and was gagging for new land to drive around. But I’ve got so much else now, and I really have played Paradise to death now, although I’ve been hanging onto the title for the release of this island I really don’t think I’ll be splashing £10 on this…
£5? Definitely. £7? It would be a consideration. I paid £30 for this game and I truly don’t see the value in this £10 pack.
Roll on the next in the franchise though!
