Debuting at last year’s Leipzig Games Convention, EyePet is looking to utilize the Playstation Eye in ways never thought of before. Bearing no objective or goal, players are free to play, train or feed with their gremlin-like pet. Interested? Well, luckily for you, PlayStation LifeStyle has the E3 HD trailer.

  7. shadowjin says:

for some reason it doesn’t look real like, running off the hardware.

I wish they would make an evil version of this, it would be so much more fun.

Wished Sony would take the time to remake some PS2 Eyetoy games they would really show off what the PS3 could do with motion controll now…I was at a rival site and they had an article about old PS2 motion control games that could be reworked for the PS3 to go against what M$ showed at E-3 and how Sony has already done it…

  10. presenting the non-creepy version of milo….physically and mentally abuse yours today….i wonder if this thing will die if i dont feed it….

@ SolidCake – how would they make an evil version of a virtual pet??? Have a karma system where if you beat your pet it gets angry and starts eating everything???

I just hope they don’t put a hefty price tag on this. Considering you really can’t do all that much with it, I hope it isn’t over $20 no matter how impressive the tech. is.

  12. @shadowjin, its real, its been demoed to journalists and it is as responsive as its demonstrated in the vid. Cant say the same for Milo though.

  13. Yeah, Sev recorded footage of people playing it over at the Sony Europe booth. I’m absolutely convinced that this is the product that will make the PS Eye relevant.

here’s to PS Eye support. may it be more utilised and robust in the future. finally, i don’t feel so silly for picking one up. the most fun i’ve had with it so far was scaring fish. (well… there was that film i did with my girlfriend, but we’ll not get into that. lol)

  15. I just hope it’s not going to be too expensive. I can’t see myself paying anymore than 20 dollars to mess around with that… 15 would be a sweet spot, 10 would make it a day-1-instabuy. If I had a girlfriend who wanted to mess with it, I’d spend 30.

It will come nubdled with the EYE or standalone game , but I am not sure on the $
