Chris Kramer, of Capcom, has revealed that the newest Resident Evil title, Resident Evil Portable, was designed with the PSP Go in mind. He also noted that the game is a long way off (currently has a 2010 release date). Kramer also said that there was ‘very little’ information on the title.

“Whadda we got for you in terms of info? At this point, very little. I can tell you that Capcom is working very closely with Sony on this title, as it’s something that both companies have wanted on the PSP for quite some time.”

He also teased that this Resident Evil is different then previous iterations in the series.

“I’ve managed to sneak a look at a very early game design document for this title and all I am allowed to say is: Wow. Totally different for a Resident Evil game. More in the future, promise!”

Stay tuned on PlayStation LifeStyle for more information on the next Resident Evil title.

  2. Meh. This series is starting to feel played out to me.

With some of the AAA titles from the PS3 going portable, makes me think that Sony could take us back to the future with either DL games on the PSN or better yet use BD sized memory cards whether it be MS Pro or other medium. I advocate that this is possible, it could reduce the cost of games by putting them on less expensive media and it could reduce the cost of production by removing the need for the BD that is currently installed. Look at the PSP go it removed the UMD and will use DLC as its primary installation medium, but it also has a new memory stick port.

Games released on memory cards should be the new distribution medium in my opinion.
