The PSLS staff was fortunate enough to attend the Konami Press Conference during E3 2009, and one of the games revealed during Hideo Kojima’s presentation was Metal Gear Solid: Rising. Kojima was more than happy to explain how this title came about, and just how involved he is with the game’s production.

Check out the footage below, and make sure to enjoy it in HD!

    is it true that this game is going to be much smaller/shorter due to the fact that it’s being produced for the 360 as well? i don’t recall where i read that, but that would be really sad. of course i’m still going to rent it either way. just wondering though.

  2. I think the XBOX 360 version will have multiple disks

    I think this will be the only mgs to be multiplatform. After this they’ll probably remake peace walker into a ps3 version. Hj left a lot of room meaning a couple of years apart between each MSG’s story continuation to make sub stories like peace walker because it’s 10 yrs after msg3

    why is he wearing a man-thong in the pic? ewwww, creepy!

  5. Jeneric says:

    um im thinking this game isnt going to be anywhere close to the length and depth and graphics of mgs4. im hoping im wrong.

    pretty much, your limited on the 360 due to very little space even with duel layered disk’s.

    multiplatform designers wont give extra game play to the PS3 because they want to make them equal. if they do, its threw DLC. Kojima is having someone else work on MGSR while he handles lord of shadows and MGS PSP. in essence, the 360 is getting a MG game but not the original creator.

  7. Raiden is a queer-mo. I really dont plan on picking this one up, but maybe future videos and news will convince me its worth the time. I miss snake already. Snake? snake? SNNNNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. hopefully castlevania will turn out better then this game

  9. Brent says:

    I think Snake is done. If they do make another MGS with Snake they are officially milking the series. The only way I could see them continuing the series is if they go WAY back to when Gray Fox was in his prime.

    @Brent
    and whats wrong with that. l love the mgs series so if u don’t like it if they do milk it then you probably don’t like mgs.

    from the picture at the end maybe this game is about what Raiden was doing during the events of MGS4 and perhaps before it as well

    @wtGp:
    I never said I disliked the series. In fact, the MGS series is my favorite series of all time. It’s just that there are no more living clones of Big Boss and to keep them coming just ruins the series. As I said, going to the very beginning of the MGS universe makes a lot of sense since Kojima left a lot of holes in between the games. Just imagine playing as Gray Fox in the World Wars and the beginnings of the Boss.
