I lol’d at your comment. You are right: Christian philosophy DID shape our culture. It is what made this country a desirable destination for people of all nationalities. It is, in fact, what made us the greatest nation on earth. Now, however, the very group of people that you accuse of playing the “victim” card are under constant attack, as our the values this country was founded on. People came to this country because of what it “was” not what it “could be”. Groups like the ACLU are destroying this country from within. Anyone who thinks this country as a whole is in a better place now than in the past needs to get their head examined. These boards are not a place for religion or politics, I assume, so I’m not going to go into what is killing us as a nation. That being said, I’m not going to sit idly by and let people make ignorant comments without saying my piece.

People just look for things to cry about now “wah wah wah christians get soo much flack for everything!” I guess we’re just not going to mention how that religion has shaped our whole culture and even some government policies that affect video games and how their viewed by the public. Its really easy to play the victim card as a christian when your religion takes weekly sh*ts on other peoples beliefs.

If the Christians were protesting, people would complain. Since its fake, its ok to some people, but Christians shouldnt be allowed to voice their opinion about a group impersonating them? hmm

I agree very much with TheMadGreek because as soon as “the churchies” which this one group doesnt even represent Christians as a whole anyway (which is another thing altogether) say anything, someone has something to say. People are very hypocritical in the respect that they can call out any church group but if they speak up, they dont want to hear it.

The whole “go back to your hole” comment is absurd as well as calling people “churchies” because it shows you have little respect for the beliefs of others. I call myself a Christian and I’m not going to go making fun of what other people believe…. I mean at some points its time to grow up and learn to respect the views of others, whether you agree with them or not.

You know you are going to get some flak for that, right? I go to church, and I certainly don’t live in a hole. As a matter of fact, I came to my religious beliefs far after having attended on of the most liberal, anti religious colleges in California (Claremont). I was neither poor, strung out on drugs or alcohol, or in prison. In fact, I was fairly successful (Operations Manager for Staples, Inc.) I try not to be offended by such comments, and you may have been joking, but the philosophy behind the statement is one shared by a large group of people, who see nothing hypocritical in calling Christians “closed minded” while showing no tolerance for a diversity in beliefs, and use the word “bigot” while displaying some of the most hateful behavior I have seen displayed since the 60′s. There’s my rant for the day.
