Secretly embedded in the newest Burnout Paradise DLC, Big Surf Island, is the ability to unlock toy versions of the previously released, premium content, Legendary Cars.
The Legendary Cars premium DLC, originally priced at $8, included the Hunter Cavalry Bootlegger, Jansen P12 88 Special, Carson GT Nighthawk and the Hunter Manhattan Spirit. However, the toy versions included within Big Surf Island aren’t being given away, you have to do the following to unlock them:
- Toy Hunter Cavalry Bootlegger – Jump from all 15 Island Mega Jumps
- Toy Jansen P12 88 Special – Hit all of the 45 Island Billboards
- Toy Carson GT Nighthawk – Complete all 24 Island Road Rules
- Toy Hunter Manhattan Spirit – Hit all 75 Island Smashes

Just another reason this company is the best developer right now. All the complaining about the $12.00 price tag, and then you find out you get four new cars. Awesome. I’m close to getting all of these, I see. I can’t wait!

I was surprised when I unlocked the bootlegger, I like it when you get blindsided by a secret unlock.

The island is a good island for the price. I didn’t even realize it was coming with cars. There’s a lot of fun to be had on the island and I’ve been enjoying it. Phoenix is pissing me off with his 25 million dollar showtimes though…

So, does this mean that we can unlock the toy and/or legendary Trophies with these?

That is a nice surprise. Criterion you deserve my money. I apologise for all my remarks about this Island being overpriced. I’m sold.

What they dont tell you tho is that there is an 8th car to unlock, the P12 Diamond, but to get it you have to complete all 500 freeburn challenges….WAAYYY fucking stupid

Why is that stupid???? They are rewarding people for being completionists.

Well that’s even better news! I bought the pack when it came out but have had NO time to play it yet…

This is great news, I’ve finished some of the stuff, but have yet to unlock any of the cars. This is good to know for future playtime.
