Sorry PSP owners, but it looks like Uncharted will not be taking a dive into the portable world. Evan Wells confirmed to That VideoGame Blog that Naughty Dog had no plans to bring Uncharted to the PlayStation Portable.

What’s interesting though is that he didn’t say there were no plans for an Uncharted PSP. It was just said that Naughty Dog had no plans, so it’s possible that we may see another developer working on it (as High Impact Games is working on Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier).

Stay tuned on PlayStation LifeStyle, for we’ll have all your info on an Uncharted PSP if, and when it hits. And remember to check out our PlayStation LifeStyle Adventure Pack giveaway, where we will be giving away the original Uncharted, Tomb Raider: Underworld, and an Uncharted 2 beta code.

  1. Thanks but no thanks… I can’t see myself playing Uncharted on PSP…

  2. There are a lot of great IPs on the PSP…. I am sure as hell glad that I’m getting Disgaea 2 on PSP. I never beat Baal until they released Afternoon of Darkness, I won’t beat Baal on Disgaea 2 probably until I can play it on PSP.

I just don’t feel shooters are necessary for PSP though. Let’s just keep the PSP like a PS2. Sure the PS2 had shooters but let’s keep the variety up. I don’t see why people need 30 bajillion shooters on consoles and then 25 bajillion on a portable machine…

Hope they don’t make Uncharted for PSP unless they add a second analog stick.

well i believe that was the case before, where console games were just being watered down and ported to PSP, but these PS3 ip’s havent just been ported, GOW, Killzone, Resistance and more have gotten their own unique esperiences on PSP, LBP seems like an example of just porting over, but thats not a problem because theres just so much you can do with LBP, theres not really a way to port it, creating a totally new experience.
