Hideo Kojima’s newest project, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, made a stunning debut at the Konami Conference during E3 2009. With monstrous beasts, death-defying acrobatics, and an all-star cast in charge of the voiceovers, the game has been gaining a lot of buzz.
Included below are direct-feed screenshots from the Castlevania title, which is set to release sometime in 2010. Check them out and let us know what you think!

I’m not even a Castlevania fan, and I’m already pumped for this game. I can’t wait till it comes out.

Will be sick, I’m waiting on the review if this isn’t a PS3 only title, i’m very cautious of 3rd party dev’s now a days.

This is my most anticipated game. By far. Even more than God of War or Metal Gear Rising.

I guess I just dont see it but this game doesnt really stand out from anything else these days. Maybe with more news about it in the near future I will be but I dont see whats so big about this game besides Hideo being behind it.

@ The Queef Sisters
from my understanding there hasn’t been a next-gen castlevania in years..
its the Castlevania franchise, thats why people are excited, also the fact Hideo Kojima is behind it..
@ nikrel
me too.. hopefully its not and they build it around a 50GB blu-ray.

I have been a Castlevania fan since game1 and the one problem the game has always had was the transition from 2D to 3D. PA once asked if this transition is even needed if a game is great already in 2D. Let’s hope it keeps the magic that the other 3D version lost.
BTW a 2D Castlevania game on the PS3 would be amazing….like a next gen SotN.
Either way I know I’ll buy this unlike Castlevania Judgment.

I bought SotN classic and loved it

I have owned every Castlevania title to date. I love the 2d games, but the 3d ones have always fallen short with the exception of the 2 on the the PS2. I thought those were somewhat decent. So far everything that I have seen of this one looks to hold up to the franchise. Very Devil May Cry, but then again I always thought of DMC as a 3d game for Castlevania fans anyway LOL.
