David Cage, founder of Quantic Dream, the team behind the highly anticipated Heavy Rain, recently stressed in an interview that his team will only release the game when they believe it is completely finished. As a result, it seems as though the release is a ways down the road.
“We’re still at the alpha stage and there’s a whole lot of work to be done. There’s so much fine-tuning in the game left to do. Everything has to be perfect. If there’s one thing wrong in a scene, it’s the only thing you’ll see. There are many things that don’t work right now.
“We need to have everything in place, from facial animations, to score to work out the final result.”
What is interesting to note is, according to the PlayStation LifeStyle E3 team, they were told that the game, at the time, was roughly 75% completed. Stick with PlayStation LifeStyle as we keep you updated on Heavy Rain.

In the E3 interview on the PS blog the guy from Heavy rain said they still had 5 months of development so that leads us to november-december, i hope it gets release this year!
This game looks amazing!

The stuff released on the game leading up to E3 didn’t look near as impressive as what I saw from the game last year. I don’t know what happened, but it looked like the graphics took a major hit in the character models department.

I agree with smokey_vols. Not only did the E3 trailer look worse but it seemed that the “emotion” was lacking from the game. It feels like it has gone from film noire to just another choose your own adventure moral pathway thing that all games are taking on these days.
I had high hopes for this title. I hope that they can pull of the emotional response it is supposed to bring, that was all the buzz when it was first shown.

I agree with smokey, the way it looked at E3 I wouldn’t buy it.
I’d give it till next E3.
