Update: EA has removed the PS3 from the platforms list on the Left 4 Dead 2 page.
When Left 4 Dead 2 was first revealed at E3 2009, many PS3 owners were aware that this title would most likely not be coming to their system. But according to EA’s Left 4 Dead 2 page, the sequel to the highly-praised game may be coming to PS3 after all.
When visiting the Left 4 Dead 2 page on EA.com, you’ll be visited by the screens of the title, and also the available platforms. Of course, the confirmed platforms are there, being Xbox 360 and [shal]PC[/shal]. But what’s interesting is that PS3 is also there. However, it could be a mere typo, so we’re classifying this one as a rumor until we recieve official confirmation from EA or Valve.
While it could be a simple mistake. But it’s been pointed out that Left 4 Dead 2 appears on the list for EA PS3 titles, and the search page. So it doesn’t seem like just a simple typo. Stay tuned on PlayStation LifeStyle for official word on Left 4 Dead 2 for PS3.

would be nice to see
no way
I would get it, but I thought they repeatedly said this isn’t going to come to the PS3. Probably a typo.
I don’t see why not, unless M$ paid them for exclusive rights.
Here we go again! Same thing happened when L4D1 came out last year…LOL…I hate Valve so much!
Valve can suck my valve!
Didn’t valve just get done talking about how lazy they were so they weren’t going to program
for the ps3?
I’m not buying it. Valve has voiced strongly against programming for the PS3, I’m thinking this is a typo.
@sobrguy
Haha.. I hate Gabe Newell and co.
Well Valve wouldn’t be technically developing for the PS3, because EA would port it just like they ported the Orange Box(I think that was it).
So it’d be Valve DEVELOPING for 360, but EA porting to PS3.
However, I dunno if any of it is true or not because it seems quite strange BUT, EA loves money so XDDD
@sobrguy
HAHAHA!!
well, it looks like its fixed now, because it list only xbox 360 and pc
i second the comment above me.
Valve hates PS3 because they don’t understand using anything but Source
I would have bought it for PS3. Oh well, I guess they don’t want my money.
@UltimaChocochu
that is correct. Valve started porting The Orange Box to the PS3, got confused and lazy and dropped in EA’s lap with no help from their team. EA did the best the could while their hands were full with other projects. after that Valve gave them one patch sorce code to fix the Team Fortress 2 bug that happened when the PSN friend list went to 50. when Valve developed more patches and add-on content, EA asked for the sorce code but was denied. now not only don’t we have the map packs and other goodies for Team Fortress 2, but if you have more than 50 PSN friends, you are blocked from signing into TF2. EA was never able to correct the frame rate either. that was the one and only time i felt bad for EA. so yeah. i’ve hated Valve for a long time. no one should have to go through the hassle of creating a new account to play TF2. i did TWICE! haven’t touched the game in at least 8 months now. the only reason i haven’t sold it is ’cause of Portal.
l4d = overrated… could care less about valve after their complaints
Meh I was not impressed with L4D so I’m not really interested in it’s expansion pack, (cough,cough) I mean L4D2
@sobrguy lol I believe you might have some dramatic sequences in there for better reading material. EA owns Valve and while Valve did all the work on The Orange Box for the PC and Xbox 360 the PS3 version was outsourced to a European EA team that had experience developing for the PS3.
