Valve Comments on Left 4 Dead 2 PS3 Rumor

Recently, many believed that EA accidentally revealed that Left 4 Dead 2 was coming to the PS3. This was because the Left 4 Dead 2 page on the EA website had the PS3 listed under supported platforms. Now, Valve’s Doug Lombardi has come forward to clear things up.
“That’s a typo. Check the trailer – ‘exclusively on Xbox 360 and PC.’

So, there you have it. Valve has denied that a PlayStation 3 version is in the works for Left 4 Dead 2. Now we can put this rumor to rest … until it comes back from the grave.

It’s hard to call images a typo, you think the genius would’ve said it was a mistake rather than typo BUT! I don’t think many PlayStation owners honestly cared, some of us just would’ve laughed at some fanboys if it had happened XD
Now knowing EA, if they want money it may be ported however but, I can’t say I care.

You know I dont even see why so many people like Left 4 Dead. It’s just zombie rushing at you all the time. The graphics weren’t even good in the game. Sigh such a bad game with so much hype

I played it on 360 trasde it in couple days later…I like Zombie mode on WaW better

Valve hates the PS3 but , Ea loves money so I would expect a crappy port of L4D1& it’s not an expansion pack 2nd itireation soon.
Of course when it does drop this game will be old news and they will never patch it.

As poorly as Valve has handled this from a PR standpoint, I have to say that it WOULD be very difficult for them to get to the PS3. You have to remember, these guys have over a *decade* invested in a PC-based toolchain and workflow. That is something that is no small thing to divest yourself of.
And while I’m at it: “Hey Valve, L4D2 had better be a beta run for the HL2:Ep3 engine just before you release it, otherwise I’m going to have to… to… to taunt you a second time!” I guess I really don’t have anything that they want; makes my threats feel a little empty.
L4D was not my kind of game so I’m a happy camper. Really didn’t want it on PS3 anyway considering it’s made by Valve.
Dear Valve:
We know you don’t like the ps3, for whatever reason. We can pretty much guess its because you are lazy and/or ms buttfodder.
so guess what, we don’t care. You didn’t have to comment. Soon enough you and activision will follow EA. It’s inevitable. You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

I thought the cool stuff was on the PC side with all the mods anyway.
I don’t want that garbage on my PS3 anyway, I didn’t understand all the hype about the first Left 4 Dead so I don’t care about the second either. I may be the only one but I don’t really like zombie games (GASP!) Let’s just continue to keep our PS3′s clean of garbage and continue to get the AAA titles we’ve seen over the past year.
This would be a killer game for the PS3.
