Guitar Hero 5 Rocks with its Boxart Out

The Guitar Hero 5 boxart has been officially revealed. Previously, we’ve seen Guitar Hero boxarts with … well, actual guitars on them. This time, it looks as though the boxart has taken a different approach, with sort of a backstage look.
The boxart for Guitar Hero 5 is certainly different then what we’re used to for this series. How do you feel about the boxart? Post your comments below!

rock band is better, guitar hero just went down hill wwhen it got drums and a mic
I’m not a fan of Guitar Hero myself, i’m a huge Rock Band fan tho.
I am starting to get a little burned out on GH and RB. Although I just got GH: Metallica lol.
I just wish they would quite watering down the franchise. It doesn’t seem like it would be all that hard to just release a 50 song DLC for $30.
I can kind of see what the artist/designer was trying to go for with the guitar case and the amp and guitar combo in the backdrop but then the whole thing got splattered with bullet point text (advert propaganda) and that’s just poor taste.
To go for a completely new look after the nth iteration of the GH series seems a little odd. Maybe that shows how watered down the product is becoming (all the old boxarts are almost identical) and the marketers are trying to catch people’s attention that a new title is on the shelf.

I played Guitar Hero on PS2 and stopped on world tour on the PS3. I was really excited when it first came out since it was unique (next to all those beatmania series that are in Japan) After awhile It became Dance, Dance Revolution for your fingers. There is really nothing all that great about mashing buttons with your hand to a fake crowd screaming for your fake guitar skills. At the end of the day you don’t know how to play a real guitar. I am sure that some guys think that bragging about how awesome they are at the game is a lot cooler then shredding on a real guitar. i also find it hilarious that people who “claim” to play instruments on the PSN and forums get riled up when a Rockband or Guitar Hero conversation starts. its like they feel the need to let the world know they play real instruments as a way to feel superior. Unfortunately, these people are probably the biggest basement dwellers online. i find Rockband to be more fun even if the concept is the same. i never understood why? In Guitar Hero, the improvements with every release seam minimal, unless there adding another instrument and even than there following Rockbands footsteps. I have more fun on Singstar because when you have 2-8 friends its funny watching and listening to your friends mess up and get nervous when the Eyetoy suddenly starts recording you.
Meh please die Guitar hero so that devs can be freed to make real games.
