The original Final Fantasy game will be hitting virtual shelves on the Japanese PSN store today.

The title has been confirmed to be only 60 MB, so we can expect this to be the PSX title, and not the PSP remake. When the game launches, it will have the price of 600 yen. So, when it eventually comes to North America, expect roughly a $6 pricetag.

    Thanks guys, fixed.

I would bet the price to be closer to $9.99. Since this is NA we can pay more… LoL

I can see why FFVII was 10 dollars, but I can’t see the first FF costing the same amount. :P

Yeah, there is no reason to expect the US release of this to be $10 since it’s not really a highly sought after game like the other PSX titles on the store that cost $10. Though I do think the US release will be the Origins release with both Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II since the US never got both games separate on PSX.
