PlayStation Phone Resurrected
Rumors of a PlayStation-branded cell phone have been flying around for a few years now, most likely due to the numerous PSP redesigns. In fact, some rumors have even went as far as confirming Sony Ericsson as the manufacture of the alleged device. Just when the rumors died down with the advent of the PSPgo, the rumor is revived.
The latest rumor is claiming that Sony not only wants to compete with the iPhone‘s application store but the product itself by releasing their own all-in-one cellular communication and gaming device (ala a PlayStation branded phone). While the source of the rumor, Nikkei, did not specifically mention the PlayStation brand, it would only seem logical for Sony to license the brand if they choose to make a gaming phone, similar to how the iPhone transferred over to the iPod brand.
When asked about the report, Sony has made no comment on the rumor meaning they haven’t confirmed or denied the existence of a “PSP phone”. In other words, don’t get your hopes up, people.

It could be called PSP Go… LoL. The new PSP could do the job if they just added cell phone chips to the architecture…

I’ll be fine with having a Hero and a Go! the Iphone can blow itself… O-o
Sony Ericsson Aino has Remote Play capabilities.
So, maybe this PSP phone is one of the next phones from Sony Ericsson as well…
I’ve always said Sony should add phone capabilities to the PSP and now that they’ve made a smaller version in the PSP Go I think they missed an opportunity. If the iPhone can sell as many units as it has, just think how many units an official Playstation phone could move. Who would want to play the stupid little games on the iPhone when you could play the entire PSP library on your phone??? I have never supported the iPhone because I would never utilize all the Apps anyway because when I’m in my house I play my PS3 and when I’m out of the house I’m either with friends or working, but I would definitely pick up a PSP Phone.
Would be pretty sweet. But It is just a rumor, no?
i hope not everyone would get a go if they had added cellphone capabilities to it it would be amazing then you could play online games anywhere for real
