As most Michael Jackson fans knows (and gamers as well), SEGA launched Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker in 1990. The game has achieved cult status, and since Michael Jackson’s death, many have wondered if the game would be relaunched.
The Belgian website, 9lives, contacted SEGA with the question, if we may see a Moonwalker relaunch for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii. SEGA has stated that while the idea is good, it’s not that easy to do. Fortunately, SEGA has said “never say never”, so we may see them eventually diving back into Moonwalker.

This would be a blatant money grab for sensationalism. This is something a desperate company would do to make money off of someones death.

Was Moonwalker ever considered rare? I remember trying to find it in Toysrus back in the mid 1990’s on Sega Genesis and never found it. But do remember my cousins having the Sega CD version that I played at their house back in the 1990’s. Would be nice to see a HD version with trophies and online play but it will probably be hard to get the rights to the game since it was developed with Michael Jackson and features his songs but if it was the Arcade version and not Sega Genesis version I would buy it.

The real fans would like it if it was remastered and rereleased or even make it look better. The only thing I didn’t understand about the game was your health was your magic and if you used to much you could die easy.
