Codemaster’s Damnation was released with agony, rather than fanfare, having suffered through behind-the-scenes disputes between Blue Omega and two subcontractors, as well as poor sales and horrifically bad reviews. But the team at Blue Omega Entertainment just got slapped with something even worse. Pink slips.
When a game performs poorly from both a sales and critical standpoint, it’s expected that some cuts will be made. But when programmer Geoff Rowland stated last week that “The entire Blue Omega team was laid off today”, it was clear that Codemasters was very unhappy with the team’s final product.
So just how bad was Damnation? Check out the gameplay footage below and see for yourself. You’ll swear you were watching a low-budget PS2 title in action.

they should have made the game for all the platform
wii and ps2 or even psp
at least they would have made some money out of it.

You know that the game itself actually had an interesting concept and I was somewhat interested when I first heard about it months back, but had a feeling it will definitely not be what I wanted it to be.
Well done Codemasters, fire people after they completely fail and fuck with your reputation.
@1: None of these guys can even get anywhere near Naughty Dog lol.

How is it that the graphics are so bad? Was the budget really that low? Did they not have resources? Why would they release that on next-gen consoles knowing the competition? They should’ve definitely made it for smaller platforms or started over with something else.

It’s sad to see all the hours spent working on the game will go to waste.

I think that it has a potential to be a good game. They just didn’t execute well. The game looked like a beta version (still bad for a beta version, though. Especially the graphics.).
