which also has nothing to do with the PS3 other than the Sony name brand.

@Natiej85

which also has nothing to do with the PS3 other than the Sony name brand.

By: Natiej85

<guid

Bravia Internet Video Link handles everything including news feeds and pages. Some of the Bravia TV's have internal memory my dad just purchased the 52" XBR9 Series and it allows video streaming from your computer or labtop to the TV directly. Its flawless.

its the XMB just colored differently and allows you to change the icon colors. which is pretty cool. Last year Sony stated that they want to link everyone of there products to each other. Some Ericsson's cells (new ones) have an XMB. I think you can stream to your PS3 look at VIDZONE? its fast with little to no delay, on startup you can fast forward without waiting for it to load. Probably 3-5 second wait.

@ SPDFF

Bravia Internet Video Link handles everything including news feeds and pages. I did not know that it had something like that till now(XMB-like thing), so I think the main point of the Bravia being able to stream is to show it's far more simplistic and easier to use than any other console I assume.
Either way, if you have a PS3 and not a Bravia and can stream Netflix off your PS3(not sure if you can) you should still be happy.

@ shadowjin

I did not know that it had something like that till now(XMB-like thing), so I think the main point of the Bravia being able to stream is to show it’s far more simplistic and easier to use than any other console I assume.

Either way, if you have a PS3 and not a Bravia and can stream Netflix off your PS3(not sure if you can) you should still be happy.

By: SPD55

<guid

Unless the Bravia has a builtin hard drive or builtin SSD memory drive then where are they going to place the cache data from the streaming source. You have to have something to store a small amount of data so that the streaming information is constant and in the proper order. I know that there is an internet interface and connection for the Bravia Tv's , I own one and looked into it before buying my PS3, it costs nearly $200. Nearly half the price and less functionality than a PS3 and harder to find since most retail stores do not stock the item, it is a special order, making it more expensive.
If the newer Bravia Tv's had this internally then that would make sense but then they could then build in the PS3 system board and take up less space.
This is good news but what does it have to do with the PlayStation Life Style?

Sony needs to get PlayTv out for the PS3 in the NA region so that this can be a better offer. there Bravia TV's have there own navigation similar the PS3 XMB.. it actually is the XMB.
The less items involved to get from point A-B the better.. its simple doing it from the TV, its like changing a setting (XMB style).

@ UltimaChocochu

there Bravia TV’s have there own navigation similar the PS3 XMB.. it actually is the XMB.

The less items involved to get from point A-B the better.. its simple doing it from the TV, its like changing a setting (XMB style).

By: SolidCake_

<guid
