While watching Penn and Teller’s: Bull Shit!, a Showtime series about various topics that are about, well bull shit, I noticed this week’s episode was on violence in video games (season: 7 episode: 3, 7 mins). Of course the infamous Jack Thompson was profiled and spouted his usual anti-video game violence babble. But I was shocked when I saw this right on my TV…

I assume he uses it to play marathon sessions of GTA IV online, but that’s just my opinion. What do you think?

it’s also possible he bought his when the PS3 was the cheapest blu-ray player on the market. He could also just use it to test the amount of violence in certain games so that he has arguments from first hand experience….or he could be a lying douche bag.

For someone who is so against the video game industry I find it hypoctitical that he owns a ps3 unit even if its only for blu-ray

Guys, he’s against violence and sex in video games; not against video games in general. I find it amusing that he has a PS3 but does that make him a hypocrite? Not in my book… Besides, he’s old enough for that kind of content. Last I heard, he only wanted it out of children’s hands.

He has a 360 too, in another room. It would be worse if he didn’t play games and spoke out against them. He’s still a douche, sure, but it would be worse if he didn’t own the consoles.
