The latest Killzone 2 patch, 1.28, has gone live. The latest patch from Guerrilla Games has added support for their newest DLC, “Napalm & Cordite”. This downloadable pack features two new maps, and eight new trophies.

The patch will add a variety of features that fans have been asking for, including a new “Join Game” screen. This was in fact the biggest request from the Killzone community, and is finally being implemented. The patch also adds code support for the new maps, allowing players to join or create games with the “Suljeva Cliffside” and “Arctower Landing” maps.

Code support for the two new weapons in multiplayer, the Boltgun and Flamethrower, has also been added. Eight new trophies will be included with the update, as will new detailed information when joining a game, such as friendly fire, faction balancing, custom weapons, custom badges, region, game size, selected maps, and allowed missions and badges.

As you can see, this patch is packed. For more information, you can read about the new maps here. Stay tuned on PlayStation LifeStyle for all your information on Killzone 2.

I just wonder how many people will buy it. I play the game all the time, but it’s rare that I find Beachhead and Southern Hills, which are both great maps.
