After threatened to stop supporting the PlayStation 3 platform, a great bit of attention was garnered by an assortment of gaming blogs and even Sony. Now, it looks like other developers are getting in on the issue. Namely, BioWare, the developers of Mass Effect and the upcoming multiplatform title, Dragon’s Age: Origins.

“I think it’s silly to be saying you’re not going to support Sony. The brand itself is still huge and there are millions of [users] out there.” — Greg Zeschuk, co-founder of BioWare.

On top of this, the co-founder of BioWare went on to express his faith in Sony’s strategy for the PS3.

“I don’t think it’s really fair to poke fun at Sony… Certainly the Wii’s been a massive success and Sony’s probably not going as fast as they thought it would be but I think that they’re starting to make the right moves and the software’s coming along.”

Nice to see BioWare more on board for the PS3. I like to support them since they’re in my city and some of my friends have worked there. They have been quiet about the PS3, but now that they have their hands into development with it we can only expect great things.

These guys aren’t like Valve. They have always been very creative and forward thinking which is probably why they aren’t scared of the PS3.
