so stupid, even if they look cool can you really justify spending an extra $90 on night vision goggles that you will never use??? Don’t even get me started on how pointless all the stupid art books and special game cases are. I will not buy this, nor will I ever buy any special edition probably. They know they can sell this stuff for so much money though because there are enough morons or spoiled little brats that will buy it.
I would use the goggles so i can play it with the lights out, lol

There are some people who LOVE a game so they want to support their favorite franchises. In a day where developing is so expensive for these consoles there’s a lot of incentive to have collector’s editions. Plus there are a lot of people who get bummed if there’s no collector’s edition.
If you don’t want your favorite games to have a higher chance of being profitable then that’s your problem. Pre-ordering and buying special editions are the best thing you can do if you want to support these companies. Sure the Call of Duty series doesn’t quite need that kind of support, but I got the first DVD for the Devil May Cry anime series (which I happen to like) for free when I preordered and that was a 30 dollar value at the time.
Oh and if you’re NEVER going to get a special edition in your life, that just shows you don’t know what you’re talking about because A LOT of these special editions ARE FREE JUST FOR BUYING THE GAME ON FIRST RUN!
Oh and if you buy most of your games used then you’re part of the problem because game companies don’t make a single shred of profit on a used game unless you buy DLC. So… If you don’t like a special edition DON’T BUY IT! It’s not the only version. This is like someone crying because someone else wanted to have their PS3 look unique, so they paid extra for a limited edition design, and you’re crying because you don’t want your PS3 to look unique so you didn’t…

I guess the fallout 3 ultimate editions sold well enough on amazon to warrant a cod ultimate collectors ed. The fallout one came with a life sized pip boy, bu the nv goggles look way cooler than the fallout 3 ce on amazon which was 150 by the way.
There are three editions of the game not 2 if you people were wondering the 3rd is the ultimate collectors ed, hell nv googles are over $150 at most sporting good stores anyway.
My favorite collectors edition was mgs 4 with the awesome slip case box and bonus bluray
well that’s cool… the goggles but must of the people only are going to use the game is crazy if u can use went you are playing the game online or co-op.
