One argument some Xbox 360 owners have against the DualShock 3 is the lack of “triggers” for the lower shoulder buttons. Gioteck has remedied this issue nicely and any shooter fan should not be without RealTriggers.
The installation procedure for RealTriggers could not be simpler. Just clip them on your R2 and L2 buttons and you are done. Generally they stay securely fashioned, but on occasion they will pop off. Be careful, it could be a choke hazard for a little one roaming your domicile.
After using the RealTriggers for a few months there are few games that do not benefit from it. Shooters are an immediate great fit and driving games benefit quite nicely from the extended reach. Some games that require us of both R1 and R2 or L1 and L2 at similar times may not provide the same benefits.
Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 are two games that the real triggers both give immediate benefits to. Warhawk, on the other hand, wasn’t as good as an experience when piloting. It’s nice to have the option to take them off when necessary.
They are priced right at only $4.99.

I own these…they are sweet!

SInce you mentioned that the triggers don’t work for some game, and that they are easy to install, how hard is it to remove them?

I’ve got these as well. They’re alright but I really prefer the original shoulder buttons (L2 and R2).
If you’re originally an Xbox 360 gamer, then these are great for you though. My brother has an Xbox 360 and every time he would play a game on my PlayStation 3, he would wine about how the shoulder buttons were “stupid”.
Another thing to do is change the controls as well though because all (as far as I know) games on PlayStation 3 have swapped the trigger functions from the Xbox 360. This means that R1 on the PlayStation 3 may shoot, but on Xbox 360 the right trigger (R2) shoots. Same goes for the left side of the controller as well. All games that I have played have the option that swaps these buttons in a separate controller configuration.
@Max Power: They seriously just clip on to your original L2 and R2 buttons, easy on easy off. I’ve never had a problem with having mine pop off though.
I have also purchased Caps 4 Stix (http://www.bespoke-solutions.net/) which and basically slip-on rubber caps for your analog sticks which add little rubber grips (like the grips on an Xbox 360 Controller).
A pair only cost £0.99 (~$1.62).

I really prefer the PlayStation 3 controller over the Xbox 360 controller myself. But that may be because I’ve used the PlayStation 2 controller and the original Sixaxis for so long with out these unnatural add-ons.

@ Max Power – they are just as easy to remove, they snap on, snap off…
anyway, I have 3 controllers and 3 sets of RealTriggers. I bought the first set just wanting to try them out and I thought they added a little to the comfort of the controller and experience of the games, but when I switched to one of my other controllers without them I found myself missing the feel of them (I rotate which controller I use to help pro-long each ones battery life otherwise one might sit there for a few months and the battery would be inactive). I could have switched the one set back and forth between all my controllers but for $5 each I decided to just save a little hassle and put them on all my controllers. That way when I have friends over they can use a controller with them on as well. I couldn’t be happier with this product especially for only $5.

I wish KZ2 has the controller configuration that makes Zoom L2 and Shoot R2. The two closest configurations they let players use are the Zoom L1 + Shoot R1 and Zoom R3 (press down on the right analog) + Shoot R2.

i got a pair of these included in an EU PlayStation mag a little over a year ago. i used them alot and after about 6 months they’d start ‘popping’ off all the time. although they were probably a cheaper product. i really enjoyed them while they lasted but could not find a replacement set. now that i know that they’re on the market, i’ll have to keep my eyes open for ‘em. thanks Rich.

For $5, why not? Thanks for the review.

best buy has them for 3 bucks.
I’ve had them on all my duel shock 3s for a while. they are the best for shooters, racing and just about whatever you play. more importantly they dont get in the way for games that they dont enhance.
for the people who have pop off problems… a dab of crazy glue makes them a permanent feature on your controllers.

I might have to grab these for $5.

Awesome little invention. I’ve only heard great things about them.

I use the real triggers on all my shooters including WARHAWK they are a great addition. Switching the triggers from one controller to another is a breeze.

I don’t know what I’d do without them… reach a little further for the L2 & R2 buttons, probably… HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, but beware, they DO occasionally pop off at highly inconvenient moments, and you may end up hating them (albeit momentarily) as much as loving them… or perhaps gluing them on…[it's true- I really did only just think of that- DUH!]
