Dante’s Inferno had a major presence at Comic Con, having plenty of contests and promotions. One contest eve went as far as awarding one lucky winner a date with Dante’s Inferno Go to Hell Girls, a limo service, and a chest full of booty.
Also during Comic Con, a new gameplay trailer was revealed, showing a beautifully animated boss battle with King Minos. Check out the action-packed video down below!

Reminds me of God of War in the sense of gameplay.

Yeah I agree with that assessment, his weapon looks like half of Kratos’s Blades but on an expandable pole/chain…

Less brutal, less graphically impressing, repetitive sounds (listen to those baby things), it’s published by EA, and It’s pretty much a GoW rip-off. GoWIII > Dante’s Inferno. Note: I’m not saying that these things cannot be improved and that it is a bad game.

the controls look a bit clunky.

The only thing about this game that appeals to me is the story. I’ll probably still buy it, though.

Wow, all I kept seeing is God of War. Kratos, large boss, the dodge rolling, minions, even the finishers/executions. The button command sequences…All God of War. Man, and this was really the first gameplay I’ve seen of it myself. Not to say it’s a totally bad thing but..Geeze it was almost as if there was no real creativity put into it on their own. But I digress, God of War III will still be the very first thing I’m going to be picking up, and nothing will exceed it.

@Steven Garcia
seriously? story? They’ve already Shit on the Poem (well, I guess in respect, they’ll eventually say, “we were inspired by the poem and it isn’t supposed to be a game based on the poem” although it’s excellent marking to Steal the name of the most famous story of Hell, isn’t it), Devil May Cry is more like The Divine Comedy than this is. if they were to make a real Dante’s Inferno game, it would be exactly like Myst (with maybe a little more Elder Scrolls action for today’s generation)
As for what I just saw… I wasn’t going to say it’s a God of War rip, but… it pretty much is. It seems to be a multiplatform GOW. Large enemies that are only defeated when you are able to pull off a button combination (yeah, some games have that, but GOW has that for pretty much all enemies/bosses) and there was even a button kill for the minotaur just like in GOW.

@Rictor
I’ve never read the poem, so I wouldn’t know how well they’ve adapted it (nor do I know how well God of War has stuck to Greek Mythology,) It’s probably worth noting that during the E3 demo, they showed a reoccurring character that narrates the story as written in the poem. Regardless, it should make for an interesting video game storyline.

Honestly, I think this will be a fun game to play if they can get the controls more fluid. I’m going to play it, not sure if I will buy it but i’ll play it.
Downloadable demo will let me know the quality of the game.
Demos of the game need to be flawless, I play demos 9/10 be4 I buy games.

@ nikrel
how can you tell the controls aren’t fluid?
