Last week we reported that Fat Princess would be feasting on July 30th. The PlayStation Blog has put the icing on the cake by confirming the release date for Titan Studios highly anticipated medieval take on capture the flag, Fat Princess.
Releasing in North America, Europe and Asia this Thursday, Fat Princess is turning out to be one of the most anticipated games of this summer. A date with Fat Princess will run consumers $14.99. Japanese users, do not fret, a launch for the land of the rising sun is in the works.

Guess I’m going to be about $15.00 poorer come the 30th.

I might have to take work off that day so I can play this game an hour earlier.

yikes…. 15 bucks is pretty hefty for a PSN game… I’m not sure if i’m gonna swing for this just yet, even considering my long awaited anticipation for it….

Everybody was able to swing it for Battlefield 1943, and this game is sure to be a hell of a lot more fun.

@Matt2005USAF (I don’t know how to do the reply function)
$15 is a little steep for a PSN title. Usually it’s the over hyped smug games that are $15+ (like StreetFighter HD, Watchman… and I guess Battlefield) but real PSN games are $10, like Flower, Super Stardust. (then the games that know they’re just downloadable games are $5, like Trash Panic and Noby Noby Boy) This may lead to an increase in the average PSN game prince. (but I’m still buying it… with a slower accept button press)

BIG OMG-!!!!
Fat Princess took from the G Rated 300 Trailer (see youtube)
there is a trophy called, “This Is Caketown!” (the line that replaced the most famous line in the movie, “this is SPARTA”)
*actually, I guess many of the trophy names are taken from funny videos off the web*

to those that are complaining about the $15 price tag I would say that your complaints are completely unfounded. If you’ve read all the previews and things on Fat Princess you would know that this is also one of the biggest and feature rich titles on the PSN. Flower and SuperStardust are only $10 because they are so conceptual that no one would buy them otherwise. But back to my original point, Fat Princess includes single and multiplayer features which very few PSN titles do unless they cost $20+. If we’re going to talk about over-priced games I would say start the convo with WipeOut HD, especially when its latest expansion pack was another $10. I would say $15 is a perfect price for Fat Princess considering the depth of the title. They might have even been able to sell it as a full retail game on disc so we should be happy about $15

will someone from psls let me get into the psls clan please?

I think $15 is a great price for this game. However, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a week-long price drop in a few months.
