Several premium Japanese studios have been working on a Halo anime for over a year now which was announced under the title Halo Legends only days ago. Although Microsoft battled against the Blu-Ray format for several years with their format HD-DVD, that doesn’t necessarily mean they can’t use the format.
Halo Legends will be releasing for the Blu-Ray format next year, and it will be the only high-definition format the movie will be available on. The movie will feature a 7-part anime series set in the world of Halo, and is under production from five different Japanese Studios. How’s that for irony?

haha! dude this is a good article and hilarious! 5 star story.. it different type of news.
Very ironic lol
In the words of the great Ronald McDonald, “I’m lovin it”.
so all of us PS3 owners can watch it already, but the 360 owners will need to go out and buy a blu-ray player or get stuck with standard definition.
@Giese095,
Pretty sucky, right?

that truly is news worthy. quite the rock and the hard place situation for true XBOX fanboys. but i’m sure they’ll convince themselves that they’ll be perfectly happy with the SD version.
Wow a few years ago my friends were dissing the PS3 for Blu-Ray. Look’s like they now have a reason to buy a PS3. In their minds: “Who cares about all of the exclusives on PS3! We have Halo!!!” (Not anymore!)
They should of juts released it on cbhd since thats already owning blu-ray in asia.
I guess I might be playing Halo on my PS3 next year.
Wonder if it will come with “Only On PlayStation” on the box?
good example of irony
I wonder how will they market this one?
hmm…..
“Buy a PS3 to watch your Halo Anime”
