Sick and tired of waiting for a PS3 price drop? Amazon.com has an offer right now that can help soften the blow to your wallet.
Amazon.com has reduced the price of the 160GB PS3 Bundle that features a copy of Uncharted and a voucher for the downloadable game Pain. The price has been reduced 10%, so you can score the PS3 for the low(er) price of $449.
No word at how long this offer stands, so act now to ensure you can take advantage of the lowered price. Click here to head on over to Amazon now.
Good for those who want to get a PS3. I hope this makes a change in PS3 sales.

I agree, but Its going to take a bit more than an Amazon sale to boost sales. Especially since a good number of consumers would rather buy from a retailer like Best Buy or Gamestop, at least from those individuals I’ve talked to.
I think that with the recent news of Sony cutting production costs and actually turning out a radically higher profit, we’ll be seeing more potential for a price cut. Personally, I think that the 40gb Console for $400 is a real reasonable price, anything lower is just a great bonus.
@Hammody
Not really going to do much to PS3 sales. Rather, the timing of this price drop just lends more credence to clearing out stock for another particular oft-rumored price drop.
But a 160GB PS3 System for $450 is a good deal , I got my 60GB for $700 no one should call it expensive anymore .
$700!?
Where were you buying from?
Well , I’m from Saudi Arabia and got it from abroad so it cost that much
@ fishpaste
he mentioned in another post Saudi Arabia..
my PS3 was 789$ when they first came out.
Sorry, didn’t happen to see that last post.
@ fishpaste
its cool… in Australia Fat princess is $23.99 lol.. People should be happy in the US its $14.99
probably clearing out stock for ps3 slim. 80gb ps3 is being discontinue in japan

Yawn, yawn and more yawn.
That’s some outstanding value.
Now it’s only 50 dollars more than an elite, you don’t have to spend 50 dollars on internet, you get 40GB more hard drive space, a blu-ray player AND wifi. Anyone that complains about THAT price but says that a 360 is plenty cheap needs to get shot. I didn’t specify what kind of shot they need, but don’t do something to get me in trouble now.
Personally I think Amazon has a LOT more leeway than most other places. I got my Coraline Blu-Ray for 20 dollars. I got Killzone 2 for 52 dollars after shipping. I’ll be getting uncharted for the same price.
I don’t know how Amazon does it but they know how to make some profits.
Oh and if you’ve ever seen what a backroom is like in a place like Wal-Mart you’d change your mind about wanting to pick the stuff up in retail instead of online…

You guys don’t know how good you have it. I live in a certain less fortunate country and the 80GB PS3 (with a bundled GTA4 or Killzone 2, if you are really lucky), doesn’t go bellow 600 bucks at the retailers. Just enjoy your $450-500 160GB PS3.
I would have offered 1943 or Fat Princess as the d/l voucher.
man if only sony will follow
very kool
gotta make room for the slim ps3!
At that price I will buy 8 of them, so I can build a super computer and run my personal Skynet application.
I just want see the official press release.
I think the slim will be $$249-279 with the 160GB either being phased out or reduced to $349-$379 with other incentives (games, movies, etc) to make up for the gap (besides the 40GB space difference).
