I do NOT understand the point of a 160gig PS3. I think it would be better for sony to add the other stuff we like (eg backwards compatibility & the card readers … you know, things we can not add ourselves) and leave upgrading the HD to us. I bought the 80 gig when it first came out and turned it into a 500 gig. I only wish I had jumped on the PS3 when the original 40 gig was out because the backwards compatibility was hardware based rather than software like my 80 gig.

hmmm i don’t think PS3 Slim will come until an announcement of next conference. So don’t think August will come with Slim. I’m betting on TGS

7-eleven in the US also sells games but its a select few.. located by the PSN card but you have to ask the guys behind the counter to show you what they have. they stock games like SF4, madden etc. They don’t display every game just 1. Ive seen them in NY, FL, CA and Kansas 7 eleven stores.

it might be the slim or just a new model with bigger HDD.

The Amazon listing may not be for the Slim since those graphics were user generated content and some have said that they were manipulated. So that debunks at least a part of that theory. That listing could be a placeholder for a price drop which Sony may finally be coming to grips with. I am just looking at it from the fact of Sony has not released and formal information about any new hardware, leaked or not. So you can make what ever wild speculation that you want but until Sony comes out and announces something Official it is all rumors.

And it seems that the “Internet Generation” lives on rumors and then feels betrayed when they don’t come true…

price drop and ps3 slim to come… if sony has a price drop, releases the ps3 slim, and the pspgo this holiday season is going to be huge for sony! not to mention the game line up! gran turismo 5… i hope these rumors are all true!
