Assassin’s Creed 2 Suffering from Collector’s Edition Deja Vu [Update]

Take a good look at the image above, because it’s going to look really familiar once you see the sequel. The Assassin’s Creed Collector’s Edition packaging came with an Altair action figure, and the Collector’s Edition for Assassin’s Creed II ups the ante in all areas.

Not only does the “Master Assassin’s Edtion” include a very detailed Ezio action figure, it includes an art book (as standard nowadays) detailing the visual production of the game. And (as standard nowadays), those who pre-order at Gamestop will gain access to two exclusive in-game maps, Palazzo Medici and Santa Maria Dei Frari.

Update: Fixed terminology.

    Pass on the special edition..

  3. SolidCake_ Says:

Altair is an action-figure, or model, maquette maybe. A character bust is a model from the shoulders on up. just sayin’

  4. darkangel269 Says:

was this game REALLY that popular? it is by far the worst game I have ever played, it actually is worse than Leasure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust… imo

  5. SolidCake_ Says:

I never finished it, the first two hours or so were good, then it became the same thing over & over again. And since bobby kotex is such a tool, I’m gonna pass on this one.

    @Solidcake

The first one was repetitive after the first few hours but i really liked it and just thought that with a few tweaks to the missions it could have been great. the second one is supposed to expand on the variety of missions and add multiplayer so I will give it a shot eventually.

Also This is from UbiSoft so you don’t have to worry about giving that douche any of your money

  7. SolidCake_ Says:

@jaxx – yeah I really liked it too, here’s hoping the 2nd one is great. And since Mr. douche isn’t involved, it’s back on the radar. (ty for correction)

I got my hands full already with Borderlands, Uncharted 2, Demon Soul, Tekken, Brutal Legend….I dont know which to buy first but im pretty sure ill get the first three….Need to make more money to get all of them somehow….

Just so you know those figures are super fragile.

Also I’m pretty much passing on this game cause the last one didn’t let you kill civilians if you wanted, and… some days you just need that freedom of indiscriminate killing otherwise it’s hardly a free roaming game.

  10. Torankusu Says:

    @ MakaiOokami

Yes you can kill civilians in the first game, there was just a penalty for doing so, losing a bit of your life-bar. Otherwise you’re pretty much free to kill whoever you want, unless you wanna be targetted for soldiers and get chased the whole game.

  11. Devon Simpson Says:

What do they mean by 2 additional maps, what multiplayer maps? Why would I care about 2 additional areas if there aren’t additional missions

  12. OldBloodAndGuts Says:

5/5, John, for pointing out the art book’s frequency. Nice pictures of the new collector’s edition.
