Shocking! Red and Blue DualShocks Coming Earlier Than Expected

Despite supposedly being scheduled for release in October, the red and blue DualShock 3 Controllers look like they’re be releasing earlier than we originally anticipated.

A clandestine screenshot of the GameStop registry shows the patriotic controllers to be releasing on September 22nd, just two days before the start of the Tokyo Game Show in Japan. Perfect timing if you ask us. The only question is how many of you are planning to purchase these new accessories when they release. Let us know in the comment section below!

    I’ll definitely pick up these when they come out. I’ve been thinking of getting my PS3 professionally painted too, this might push me to do it

    Man i don’t know which one to pick i’ve always wanted a red dualshock but the blue dualshock looks nice!

    Doesn’t excite me. Wouldn’t match my black PS3, black glass tv table or the black and silver frame around my Sony Bravia. But to each his own :)

    I’ll get one of each, this way I know the kids won’t be using ANY of my controllers, Theres nothing worse then hearing the baby drop one of my precious controllers on the hardwood floor.

    This will work nicely!!!
    I wanted to get two mor controllers with vibration anyway :)

    yeah skull I agree, the only thing these fit with is the original PS logo, but I’m not really big on colorful controllers. I only bought colored controllers with N64 and Gamecube though

    I have to agree with skulking123, the white controller is by far the best looking one which is why I imported one from Japan (for no more than you can buy a black one in the US). The only problem with the white one is how much it shows dirt. I don’t really like the red and blue, they’re too bright, and I just don’t think blue looks good on anything (cars, electronics, etc.). I do have the rubber controller covers though, but I don’t mind those colors because they aren’t as bright and the ones that change color with the heat from your hands are awesome too.
