Certain PSN costumes in Home are a hot commodity right now, particularly the limited edition ones. Though originally given away as free pre-order goodies for games such as inFamous and Killzone 2, the skyrocketing demand for these items has led to some ridiculous pricing. And what’s worse is that people are actually coughing up the cash.
Those who fought off the urge to redeem the included voucher to download the costume have been rewarded handsomely. A Killzone 2 voucher for the costume sold for $66. Yes, that’s right, a free pre-order goody has just paid for someone’s entire videogame purchase (including tax)!
If you’d like to try and get your hands on an inFamous costume voucher, there are still reportedly over 10 available right here.

Well all i can say is wow……
I do have a question tho…how did people get infamous costume again….
That’s what happens to kids with mommy’s credit card, wait ’till she gets the bill and finds out what he spent it on… And then find out that it was free to those who pre-ordered it.
E-bay should work with Sony to remove these items and force those who offered the items to refund the cash they earned… But I think it is really funny in a way. This is why I don’t pre-order for costumes, I don’t sell my soul for a piece of computer code that can fail at anytime. Because you don’t know if the code is actually valid or not, because the person could have already used the code making it invalid…
Wow, that’s a lot for some virtual items, can’t say I’d pay that much
Amazon preorders are how people get these costumes. My question is why didn’t they just preorder the damn things? They aren’t secrets…
Also though, there are ways to prevent against fraud on Ebay and I don’t think that Sony should work with Ebay to get those codes off of Ebay. Why? Well because it’s free publicity on why it’s a good idea to preorder this stuff. It’s that simple.
Actually you might want to edit the above topic, cause Killzone 2 was actually released for 52.99 or so, with FREE shipping, and in many cases no tax. So the person made a profit off of preordering the game. XD
I didn’t but then again I have a 60 dollar outfit on my character that I got for free. That can be its own reward
@ SPD55
not everyones a kid buying these things. most “kids” know there free and are less likely to buy a avatar costume for 66$. Last time i checked some old guy bought a Nintendo NES game for $17000 .
doesn’t surprise me since people are paying nearly $5 for a lightsaber on xbl’s avatar marketplace
wasn’t cole’s clothing unlocked free once you played the demo anyway?
This is unbelievable – $60 for a KZ costume for Home – get a life… Did the guy know if it was even going to fit his fat balding mini me anyway??!!
I won’t even spend my Guitar Hero ‘cut’ on new costumes and accessories!
Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t ALL of these codes expire a LONG time ago?
This is extremely lame to me,but the nexr hot pre order will be in my grasp.
Wow. These things actually sell. They either have alot of cash or they spend alot of time on PS home.
