Naughty Dog Wants Jak Back
When the PS3 was first announced back in 2005, most gamers knew what title they wanted to see from developer Naughty Dog: Jak & Daxter. However, the company went to work on new IP Uncharted, and Jak & Daxter were left behind.
With it being three years since the launch of the PS3, and Naughty Dog close to releasing Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, many have wondered if a Jak & Daxter title would come out for PS3. But Naughty Dog has been listening to their fans, and have a surprising answer for them.
“We definitely hear a lot from our Jak fans and we’d love to be able to be working on a new Jak product at some point. That might be on the cards.”
Naughty Dog is currently developing the highly-anticipated sequel to Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. The title is being scheduled for an October 13, 2009 release. If we were to see a Jak & Daxter title for PS3 by Naughty Dog, we could expect a release of 2011, as shown by Naughty Dog’s biannual PS3 release schedule.
There is also a Jak & Daxter title in development called Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier, though it is currently in development by High Impact Games. The PSP/PS2 title will release November 18th, 2009.

As much as I like the Jak and Daxter games i’m glad ND chose to develope Uncharted instead. There’s no doubt that Uncharted and Uncharted 2 set benchmarks in gaming, something that might not have happened with a new J&D game. Not that I wouldn’t like to play another one though

jak and daxter and god of war, were the reason why i bought a ps3, but then i started to learn all what ps3 brings other than just great exclusives , PS3 is truly the best piece of entertainment out there. cant wait to see wat sony has in store for us in the near future . by the way i love my fat ps3.

I want a Jak and Daxter game SOOoooo badly on the PS trizle. Even though I LOVE Uncharted Ratchet and Clank need some competition, but also they’ve learned SO much working with the PS3 that I’m sure they could do some amazingly extraordinary stuff with Jak and still set Benchmarks for what a game should be.
The Uncharted fans should be fine with Multiplayer giving them a reason to keep coming back.

YES!! I have been begging for any bit of news on a new Jak and Daxter game! When I heard Lost Frontier was only for PSP/PS2 I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I always liked J&D better than R&C, even though both are amazing, but Jak 3 was probably my favorite game on PS2. I like Uncharted, but Naughty Dog was pushing the PS2 envelope with their work on Jak so I’m sure they will push the PS3 envelope even farther past their work in Uncharted 2 when they decide to make a new game. Please, PLEASE let it be within the next 2 years, unless you’re lying and already have one in the works, then I would be more than happy to get it by next holiday season!
the ps3 needs Jak and Dexter; that series is a system seller if they made it on the ps3, t’s just that good
Why Jak instead of Crash Bandicoot? I prefer Crash.

Jak and daxter using the uncharted engine would be odd since there cartoons more than real life people..
I love Jak but Nathan seems to be more interesting for me. Thank you Naughty Dog for making a Uncharted 2 ahead than a new Jak. Put the Jak out next year and Uncharted 3 on the next. I can dream right? lol. But well, Insomiac can do it. I bet resistance 3 would be out next year.
All I have 2 say is that ND is in and of itself a PS3 seller.
