Those look utterly delicious. NHL2K9 was pretty freaking good; especially since the new devs only had less than a year to work on it(and I’m glad Kush was thrown off the property).
I have a good feeling that the gap will be tightened once again between NHL2K10 and NHL10.
Since I hold a lot of animosity towards EA, I’ll be picking up 2K10 this year.
I still like 2k10 better than the EA sports series…I think it has a better balance between arcade-style and sim style gameplay. Guys, let’s face it – it’s a video game, so if it’s 100% realistic, it gets a little boring, but at the same time you don’t want it to be like a hockey equivalent of NBA Jam. Plus, it gets mad props for having Ovie on the cover.

Again.
all the videos i have seen show me nothing of 2K games closing the gap. All the players look like they are on downers.
When I see video games now, especially sports games. I just still can’t believe at how far they’ve come.

Also, really stoked on some of the soundtrack selections this year, Eagles of Death Metal are perfect hockey music and I LOVED that they used “Oye Vaya” by Earl Greyhound (a video can be found at http://displacedbrett.wordpress.com/2009/09/20/nhl-2k10-and-need-for-speed-shift-debut-with-rockin-soundtracks/ )
