PS3 Review – Wolfenstein
All in all, there’s nothing really exciting about this game. Yes the Veil is a cool concept, but it all feels like we’ve seen this before. The last issue I had was the uneven difficulty, as it really jumped all over the place. At times you could go through enemies like a knife through butter, but at other times the group of guys they send out are so frustrating that I felt like walking away from the controller. I’m not saying it’s unbeatable, but the issues I ran into on Normal Difficulty did nothing to encourage playing through on a harder setting.
Overall, Wolfenstein is a decent game. The story will hold your attention, and though there doesn’t seem to be anything new about this game, the elements that are included were well incorporated. It’s just too bad that the developer didn’t do more to ensure that the difficulty level was more consistent. This is a solid game, but with the lack of replay value and the broken multiplayer, it definitely isn’t for everyone. And once you complete the game, it’s doubtful that you’ll want to go back.

Same with activision’s Prototype, the side missions are varied from very easy to insanely hard. I wish devs would look on the dificulty to be more balanced. I got all gold though. I almost finished the game but I stopped. It feels like its getting old. Infamous is much better.
Wolfensteins multiplayer was brutal, no wonder people were axed on release day.
The single play was okay though, a somewhat good rent.

i thought this game was pretty good. I only got to play like 3 missions but it was fun, and the game play was great.
I have only played through about 4-5 missions but I enjoy the title….although I agree the multiplayer is indeed broken.
From the IGN and Gamespot reviews, it sounds like the 360 online works just fine. Another reason I’d never buy anything from Kotick’s company. Ever.

this game is a major fail lmfao… and im pretty sure every time you guys put up a story about this game im in there saying it will suck! and i was right!
another shitty shitty remake…. a company trying to make money of an already well established franchise and leaving it dead… just like my bionic commando… which i am still pissed about.
not a bad review… the game is nothing stellar that’s for sure, but does offer quite a long campaign (i beat it in under 12hrs) and that’s a lot these days for games lol.
The multiplayer is just horrible though, so i’d give that a 1 out of 5, but single player i’d give a 3.5 out of 5.
