Need for Speed: Shift, the latest racing title from Electronic Arts and Slightly Mad Studios, is sure to be a hit when it arrives on store shelves this September. And in addition to the simulation emphasis of the title, NFS: Shift is going to sport an impressive variety of circuit cars that are equal parts agile and fast.
EA was kind enough to supply us with images of their vehicle roster, which you can view in the image gallery below. But we’re warning you, it’s quite extensive. Stay tuned on PlayStation LifeStyle for all your gaming updates, and our review of Need for Speed: Shift.

I really don’t like Need For Speed’s new direction, it seems like they’re trying to be a GT clone now.

Dude, the need for speed’s were best as street racing games, undercover / most wanted sucked, because youy could tell they didnt put any effort in but carbon, underground 1 & 2 were good, although carbon wanst the best of those. WHO THINKS WE SHOULD SEE ANOTHER STREET ONE?

I marked them up for moderation. That was really bizzare. I literally thought 11 people commented at first.

@jashwin
I just preordered this last week, and I think the wii is a joke. This game looks pretty good when you compare it to gran turismo, especially when you take into consideration it probably took a fifth of the time to make. I know for sure when this game is coming out, I don’t have to pay 45$ for a prequel to the game (this concept was the biggest money grab and it worked), and I don’t even want to play a full simulator, how boring would that be? I’ll be busy gaining experience and doing more than just unlocking more stuff to simulate.

@ jashwin – this is definitely looking like NFS best effort in a long time, the game actually looks very impressive and I personally don’t like Forza and GT is still a ways off so I feel this game would be a good racing game to play before GT5 is released. If you love racing games and don’t want to wait until you can get your hands on GT5 why wouldn’t you pick this one up?

I used to be a big fan of NFS. I loved the older NFS games where you could play as the cop and chase down the drivers. Me and my brother used to have a lot of fun playing that.
The other NFS games didnt really interest me.
I’m still saving for GT5 though. That’s a definite grab.

Is it just me or the models doesn’t look solid. The underground series was definitely the best NFS.
