3D Dot Game Heroes Gets Customized, Dated

From Software has just annouced that their upcoming blocky RPG, 3D Dot Game Heroes, is to be released in Japan on November 5th.  The game, being developed by Silicon Studio takes place in a classic RPG kingdom whose king, following the successful defeat of a demon lord, declares that the world should be 3D rather than 2D. Somewhere along the lines, trouble arises, and it is up to the player to solve the mystery.

Something else that was revealed is the ability to create the hero of your choice, just in case the one provided for you doesn’t suit your needs.  No word yet on the depth of the customization, but if I have my way the world will be saved by Sephiroth, just for a touch of irony.

    that’s trippy as hell. i think i’d play as the McDonalds Hamburglar. striped fedora and and all. = )

    I imagine that game in action and I don’t picture it looking very good. I could be wrong, but i’m just not that interested in it. I want a normal Japanese turn-based RPG PLEASE! We’ve been waiting nearly three years for one :(

    @Smokey Yeah! that’s one of the reason i’ve bought a PS3. But knowing that the 360 has currently have more JRPGs makes me sad.
