Sad Endings Set for Heavy Rain
David Cage, head of Quantic Dream, the development team behind the highly anticipated thriller, Heavy Rain, recently spoke about his studio’s game. And what’s interesting about this title is that it gives players complete control over the game’s overarching storyline.
It has been known for some time now that the four main characters, depending on the choices the player makes, can potentially die. However, Cage revealed in an interview with EDGE magazine that if all four main characters die, it’s game over.
“When all of the characters die, the story ends – that’s quite a sad ending.”
“There are movies with happy endings and sad endings. In Heavy Rain, it is up to the player to tell his own story and decide what story he wants to tell. This kind of ending cannot happen before the last third of the game, so the experience won’t be too significantly shortened.”
Heavy Rain is due out exclusively for the PS3 sometime in 2010.

i hate to say this but, by the looks of it its walk here quick time. make a choice, quick time, walk here, quick time, make a choice,quicktime. the video’s dont give a good impression of the game.
im sure its good but i need that gameplay footage to confirm my hopes for it.

I tend to get attached to game characters if it’s a well made game, some examples were the horse from Shadow of the Colossus, Agro. NIko Bellic, etc. I have a feeling this game is going to bum me out even more.
l look forward to playing this game but it seems like you only get 4 chances(4 1ups) in the game. Seems like Quantic Dream lied about continuing even after you died
