Ever since the release of GTA IV last April, people have wanted the next title in the series and, admittedly, who wouldn’t? Finally, Take-Two has addressed the rumors regarding GTA V’s release.

Strauss Zelnick, the Director of Take-Two Interactive, had this to say:

“We’re not going to announce it. We’re not going to announce when we’re going to announce it. And we’re not going to announce the strategy about announcing it or about when we’re going to announce it either, or about the announcement strategy surrounding the announcement of the strategy. Any other questions?”

Hilarious work, Zelnick. Well keep you guys posted on all future GTA V announcements.

    l hope this new GTA is better than last terrible one.

  3. Vice city for the setting and i would pre-order this a year in advance. I wouldn’t mind a new place/multiple places at all though. San Andreas’ gameplay variety, graphics and “life” of the city of gta4, tied together with the style from vice city would make a perfect game in my eyes. A character like tommy vercetti would be required also.

  4. *sigh* idk when i was 13 i liked the gta franchise. I played vice city nonstop. But now that i grew up a little more and matured i dont like GTA anymore. Honestly after Vice City i couldn’t care about it anymore. The only reason I even bought the last one was because of all the hype but i have yet to finish it, but i will eventually no doubt since they added trophies. That’s all the gta franchise is worth to me, trophies.

    gtas always been good to me..because no matter what you can pick up the controller and walk around and a diff. scenario can happen to you every time to make cops chase you or do something else.. non story related things…ya know, like picking a hookr up and then taking her to that remote spot and splattering her brains out and taking your money back after your finished… orr ever been hit by someone and had to yank them out the car….theres endless possibilities…nothing will match the jumps from roof to roof on the old gta that took you round most of the city :( and everyone else dont be mad cause u cant drive the cars good in the new gta lol..noo need to hate on it for that reason… i mean it introduced online play for gta (which has gotten pretty smooth lately) of course not the top shooter…but then again, its not ment to be. i say bring on the new GTA..

  6. I don’t care when it comes out. I just want another city. In fact I want more cities like SA. To me IV was a step backwards. I mean if the ps2 can pull off the huge area why couldn’t the ps3.

    so… this article tells me nothing. almost funny yet annoying in a “why did i click to read the whole story?” kinda way. oh well. not like i had anything better to do ATM. thanks. (i guess)

  8. GTA will get better. I think people are so hard on GTA 4 because they became spoiled with the PS2 versions.

    San Andreas is my favorite of the series, with Vice City coming in a close second.

    One thing that irritated me about GTA 4 is that money is useless. You cant do anything with the money you earn except buy clothes, guns, and weapons. You can’t use it to buy property or to buy businesses like in Vice City. By the end of the game, you have a large fortune that you can’t do anything with.

    +100!!!!!!!!!!!

    @Old_Snake_
    thank you but all l said was the truth. When you compare it to previous GTA’s you have to notice how much content they out took out of the GTA 4. l used to complain that San Andrea’s had too much content but GTA4 has much less.

    i miss biking off the mountain with my parachute on :\

  12. kirobz says:

    @wtGp I agree!

    I’ve grown old of GTA games that’s why I didn’t pick up GTA IV. And to see that they took out contents instead of adding means that I didn’t really miss anything. The open-world game i’m looking forward to is a sequel/prequel (you never know) to Infamous. Hands down!

  13. Sneeches says:

    GTA Games are boring as fuck!!!

  14. beta55 says:

    Yeah, because gta4 is horrible and it didn’t get a 10/10.
    Whats wrong with this guy?

    Gta4 was a great game, sure is didn’t have as much re playability as San Andreas and much less features but it was refined. If your attention span matches the likes of a gorrila maybe you shouldn’t even be playing video games. Its not that bad that you must call it terrible. Yes, its 1/4th as good as San Andreas but your going to insult a company for making a better gaming engine? Adding a cool multi-player experience? And making yet another memorable character of the series?

    You – in my opinion – are terrible.

  15. I have to say, GTAIV was really good story wise, and the voice acting was pretty top notch.
    It had little replayability, but added some cool stuff I liked and took out some stuff I liked.
    In the end GTAIV was good, not the greatest but had one of the best stories in the GTA series.
    I don’t even consider it my favorite either, but it had a lot of good and bad as well.
