MAG Beta Gets Massive Update
Even though it’s only a private beta, the MAG beta is getting better and better. Especially now that Zipper Interactive‘s Massive Action Game has received an update.
After downloading a 30 MB version update (bringing MAG Beta to 1.11), followed by a 300MB game file update, 256 players will be available, as well as the third and previously unavailable faction, SVER.
Since the update just hit, we are still checking it out to see what else is available. We will update if we find anything else new.

It runs decently well, but there are still major sound glitches, and I believe the game uses a dynamic resolution system similar to flower where the center of your view is a lower rez.
You can see pixelation when anything is beyond 30 yards…the game really isn’t too pretty unfortunately, although some of the effects are nice and the weapons and bangs sound good.
The game is still chock full o’ bugs, but it is still fun to play. SVER is a nice addition and they are just as fun to use as the other two teams. Funny thing is, SVER almost has a steampunk feel to them, and also a look and style similar to something pulled right out of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl.

You probably already know about this, but you get access to the public beta if you subscribe to Qore. That doesn’t start till Sept 17 or something though.
It would be better to have a more codes update. lol.

Yeah I’m getting it through the Qore subscription but I wish they would hurry up with handing out the codes.

Yeah, I know a lot of people don’t like Qore, but I actually enjoy it a lot. I’ve subscribed since it started, and I look forward to it every month.
Qore does it again with their awesome offerings. This is why people should subscribe.
for those wondering if Qore is worth it, IT IS! Not necessarily for the content in the magazine, actually not at all for that content, but for all the great extras and freebies you get. I’ve gotten 3 PSN games (I think) for free, access to multiple betas, early demo access, exclusive themes…that adds up to much more than $25 a year.
Well I got into Qore for the Uncharted 2 closed beta and it was great and worth it to game with some of my other FL gamers and just squad up for a gaming session. Now I have the MAG beta to look forward to and also the GameStop early Demo on the 15th. So I will have to jump into two pre release games and have tons of fun… ‘It has changed my outlook on online gaming and made it like the fun I experienced in Lost Planet when I had purchased that game. But then I jumped on the Warhawk band wagon and the spawners there killed it for me. But now that won’t happen…

giese – exactly. I got spyro, high velocity bowling, uncharted 2 beta, a couple exclusive themes… and some cool demos out of qore… I originally signed up for the info they give out, but ended up being glad I got it because of all the freebies and exclusives. Plus theres the qore arcade,, which I don’t use much, but technically has like 5 free games inside of it. Can’t wait for the open BETA!
I’m debating on signing up for qore again to get the mag beta but then again I’m not so sure it’ll be worth it… I haven’t heard many good things about the game.
havent heard many good things about the game?!?!?! r u serious… do u live in a cave?… ive debated over and over multiple times whether or not to get Qore… i hear ppl say its worth it and i hear ppl say its not worth it… but the majority seems to believe u get much more then what your initially paying for so i think i may go with an annual subscription of qore…thnx psls users, youve confirmed it… i also just got the realtriggers from hearing other ppl saying they were nice, even after i heard about them b4….what other great things does every1 use with there ps3
